Where Can I Get a Hearing Test in Ibadan?
By the HearMax Centre team

If you have decided to get your hearing checked, the next question is practical: where do you go? In Ibadan you will find hospitals, private clinics and specialist centres — but not all hearing tests are the same, and where you go affects what you actually learn from it.
What to look for in a hearing test provider
A qualified audiologist. The person interpreting your results should be a healthcare professional trained in the assessment, diagnosis, management and rehabilitation of hearing and balance disorders — not simply someone selling devices.
The right tests. A proper evaluation may include pure tone audiometry (responding to tones through headphones), tympanometry (measuring how your eardrum moves), otoacoustic emissions, speech audiometry, and an otoscopic look inside the ear. If a provider only does one quick screen, ask what happens if something is found.
An explanation you understand. A result you cannot interpret is not a result. You should leave knowing the type of hearing loss, if any, its degree, and what your options are.
Follow-up. Assessment is a starting point, not a verdict. The right provider walks you through the next step — protection, therapy, amplification or referral — based on your situation.
